About

Born in 1999, Alireza Gholamianoghani is an Iranian composer and performer. He began his musical career playing the Tar and studying Iranian classical music at Tehran University. He studied composition with Karen Keyhani and Ardavan Vossughi and has taken private masterclasses with Alberto Posadas, Eva Reiter, Francesca Verunelli, Stefano Gervasoni, Oscar Bianchi, Lidia Zielinska, Hannes Seidel, and Ioannis Angelakis. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Composition at the Conservatorio “Lucio Campiani” of Mantova, with Maurizio Azzan, Zeno Baldi, and Lorenzo Troiani.His music has been performed by ensembles like Suono Giallo, Ensemble MDI, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, Ensemble Modern, and JACK Quartet in festivals such as Horizon etendu 2023, Unerhorte Musik in Berlin, the 14th International Young Composers Academy in Tchaikovsky-city, Sound of Wander 2024 in Milan, JACK Studio 2024, GAMO in Florence, ReMusik.org, Synesthesia Lab 2025, IYCA Ticino Academy 2025, and Musica del XXI secolo 2025.
